About this event

Join NC State University Libraries and Wake County Public Libraries for a discussion of John Green’s nonfiction book Everything is Tuberculosis. Kaori Sakamoto, department head and professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Population Health and Pathobiology, will moderate the discussion.

Tuberculosis has been entwined with humanity for millennia. Once romanticized as a malady of poets, today, tuberculosis disproportionately affects those living in poverty. Green, author of The Anthropocene Reviewed and an advocate for global healthcare reform, tells a deeply human story illuminating the fight against the world’s deadliest disease.

The talk is part of Read Smart, a collaboration between NC State University Libraries and Wake County Public Libraries.
